How the follow-gate actually checks a follow
Most tools take your word for it. Boloza asks Instagram, at the only moment Instagram will answer.
"Follow me and I'll send the link" is the most common ask in Indian creator marketing, and almost every tool implements it on trust: the person taps a button that says I'm following, and the link goes out whether they followed or not.
What Boloza does instead
The first DM contains your message and a button. When somebody taps it, we ask Instagram directly whether that person follows your account, and the link is released only if the answer is yes. If they have not followed yet, they get a nudge and can tap again a moment later once they have.
Why the check happens at the tap and not at the comment
Instagram will only answer the "does this person follow you" question for someone who has messaging context with your account. A comment alone does not create that context; tapping a button in a DM thread does. So the honest sequence is: comment, DM with a button, tap, verify, release.
Any tool claiming it can screen a commenter for follow status before they interact is describing something the official API does not offer.
When Instagram will not answer
Occasionally the check comes back inconclusive. In that case we release the link rather than block someone who genuinely followed you. Losing a real follower to a false negative costs more than the occasional link that slips through.
